Features: All data in this book are based on the household registration of the permanent resident population as of November 1, 2000. The permanent resident population registered in the hometown, town, or street includes: those who live in the hometown, town, or street and have registered their permanent household registration there; those who have lived in the hometown, town, or street for more than six months but whose permanent household registration is outside the hometown, town, or street; those who have lived in the hometown, town, or street for less than six months but have been away from their permanent household registration location for more than six months; those whose permanent household registration is pending at the time of the census; and those who originally lived in the hometown, town, or street and are currently working or studying abroad without a household registration. All data in this book are compiled based on the actual registration records and do not account for census registration errors or include active-duty personnel of the People's Liberation Army.
