Features: To develop meteorological undertakings, regulate meteorological work, accurately and timely release meteorological forecasts, defend against meteorological disasters, rationally exploit, utilize, and protect climatic resources, and provide meteorological services for economic construction, national defense construction, social development, and people's lives, this Law is formulated. Activities such as meteorological observation, forecasting, service, meteorological disaster prevention, climatic resource utilization, and meteorological scientific and technological research carried out within the territory of the People's Republic of China and other maritime areas under its jurisdiction shall comply with this Law.
