A Tale of Two Cities

Author: Charles Dickens
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-07-01
Features: A prisoner secretly confined for ten years writes about his miserable experiences in prison, demanding revenge on his enemies, and ten years later, this accusation letter happens to accuse his innocent grandson. Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the book describes the joys and sorrows of a pair of lovers. The main plot of the book was conceived when I performed Wilkie Collins's play "The Frozen Deep" with my children and friends. At that time, I had a strong desire to portray this story. I meticulously sketched the mindset of the characters in my imagination, imagining presenting it to an audience that loves observation.
