Features: The "International Academic Conference on Grassland Restoration and Desertification Prevention in Arid Regions," jointly organized by the Shijiazhuang Institute of Agricultural Modernization of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Hebei Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts, Hebei Agricultural University, and the Arid Land Research Center of Tottori University, Japan, was sponsored and supported by units such as the Hebei Provincial People's Government, the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chengde Municipal People's Government of Hebei Province, the Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Government of Hebei Province, the Saihanba Mechanized Forest Farm of Hebei Province, the Molon County People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Guyuan County People's Government of Hebei Province, and the Huailai County People's Government of Hebei Province. The conference received over 50 papers from domestic and international experts. After review by the conference's evaluation committee, 45 papers were selected and compiled into this proceedings. This book discusses grassland restoration and desertification prevention from three aspects: the current situation of desertification, grassland degradation and restoration techniques, and sustainable agricultural development strategies in arid regions. These discussions hold significant importance for sand control and ecological environment protection in China and even worldwide.
