Features: This book is completely dedicated to the aforementioned clinical objectives in obstetrics, and it was written out of a sense that there is still a lack of specialized books on the same topic domestically. The writing material primarily comes from the author's extensive experience in both domestic and international obstetric clinical practice and obstetric ultrasound work. The writing sequence starts with normal early pregnancy, then progresses to middle and late pregnancy, covering the ultrasound examination of gestational adnexa, followed by abnormal pregnancy, and finally fetal malformations. Currently, no other examination method, aside from ultrasound, is more convenient and accurate in applying to every pregnant woman to discover and diagnose fetal malformations. Moreover, fetal malformations have always been the most challenging part of prenatal diagnosis. Therefore, this book dedicates a significant amount of to introducing in detail the ultrasound diagnosis of various fetal malformations. Among these, the ultrasound diagnosis of central nervous system and cardiovascular system malformations is described in even greater detail, considering that the diagnosis of central nervous and cardiovascular system malformations is the most complex and most important part of prenatal ultrasound examination. Another feature of this book is that it separately discusses the etiology, pathology, sonographic diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and prognosis of abnormal pregnancy and fetal malformations. Additionally, it briefly introduces diagnostic methods from other disciplines and obstetric management principles. All major descriptions in the book are accompanied by abundant typical sonographic images, some of which are first-time in China. To enable domestic colleagues to promptly, objectively, and comprehensively understand and keep up with the advanced international level of prenatal ultrasound diagnosis, during the two years plus writing period, we reviewed a large number of relevant books, literature, and research materials. However, given the author's limited experience level, the data, statistical materials, and the like still may not be entirely comprehensive. It is inevitable that there may be some errors or inappropriate in the book, and we sincerely ask for the understanding and kind guidance of our readers.
