Features: The first edition of "Automatic Machinery Design" was officially published in June 1987 to meet the teaching needs of the then light industry higher education institutions' majors in light industry machinery design and manufacturing. Over the past decade, it has been reprinted multiple times and played an important role in the teaching of related majors in light industry and other higher education institutions. In recent years, with the rapid advancement of science and technology, the field of mechanical engineering has also made significant progress, and the pace of knowledge renewal has accelerated. On the other hand, with the adjustment of disciplines and majors in higher education institutions, new and higher requirements have been put forward for the knowledge structure and professional adaptability of students. In response to these profound changes, the former Light Industry Machinery Teaching Materials Committee of the Light Industry General Administration proposed to revise the "Automatic Machinery Design" textbook to meet the teaching needs of relevant majors in light industry universities and the needs of a broad readership. The newly revised "Automatic Machinery Design" textbook emphasizes the commonalities of automatic machinery and strives to balance systematicity and completeness. The original chapter structure has been appropriately adjusted and expanded or deleted to make the content arrangement more rational. Most chapters have been rewritten to reflect the recent developments and achievements in the field of automatic machinery as much as possible. According to the requirements of the professional curriculum syllabus, the new textbook not only provides an in-depth explanation of the theoretical issues common to automatic machinery design but also focuses on analyzing the design principles and methods of widely used mechanisms and devices in automatic machinery. To align with the training requirements of broadening professional expertise, content related to overall design, mechatronics, and design examples of automatic machinery has been added, striving to combine design theory with engineering practice. The book consists of 11 chapters, including topics such as the principles of automatic machinery design, the overall design of automatic machinery, the design of transmission systems for automatic machinery, the laws of mechanism motion and mechanism selection, and the design of electromagnetic vibrating feeders.
