Features: Over the past fifty years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, our country's economic development has experienced ups and downs. Whenever major mistakes occurred, they were due to violating the laws of philosophy and social sciences. If China had not caught up with developed countries in this century, it might never have done so, and the Chinese people's dream of becoming a world power would have been impossible to realize. Therefore, anyone who uses various excuses to undermine reform and fails to address the underlying crises in Chinese society is a traitor to the nation.
The "Series Lectures by Renowned Chinese and Foreign Experts" is organized by the Research Center of the State Economic and Trade Commission. Since its launch on September 23, 2001, it has invited over thirty Chinese and foreign experts to deliver thematic lectures on major issues in the global and Chinese economic and social development. The series is held twice a month, primarily focusing on economics but also covering various fields of social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences. It pursues thoughtfulness, practicality, and sustainability, with the guiding principle of "stimulating thinking rather than replacing it." This rational approach is particularly important for Chinese enterprises and individuals involved in the process of economic globalization, and thus it is having an increasingly significant social impact.
