February 10th (March 10th by the solar calendar) - Rain. I rose at the eighth bell, sent the sixth home letter written the night before, and went to school. In the morning, I attended three classes: Arithmetic, Geography, and English. In the afternoon, there were no classes. After lunch, I returned to my residence to play ball, but as the rain continued without stopping, I felt quite gloomy. Later, I copied a piece of Chinese literature. After the evening meal, I reviewed English and wrote a diary. I retired at the tenth bell.

February 11th (March 11th by the solar calendar) - Clear. Planned events: I plan to visit Yan Sun and others at the ninth bell tomorrow morning. It is Saturday today, and I went to the dormitory at the seventh bell and a few minutes past. In the morning, I attended two classes: Arithmetic and Geography. In the afternoon, there was only one official language class. I left school at the third bell and returned to my residence. Afterward, I went to Bao You Fang with Zhang Shi Zhang and bought a pair of boots from Tong Fang, then returned. Yan Sun, Shao Xian, Yang Ying Kang, and others came, so we went out together and strolled to Qing Tai City Station. Shortly after, we returned. We were quite bored, so we only played ball with Shi Zhang for fun. Gao Yuan sat quietly by the window, seemingly lost in thought, as if burdened by some heavy concern, and his quietness was quite evident. After the evening meal, there was nothing else to do.
Course Schedule: Arithmetic (morning class), Geography (Zhong teacher was present), Bible Study (Su teacher was absent), Reading Classics (self-study), Official Language (Wang teacher was present), Military Drill (the ground was wet, so no class).
