Features: This book was compiled by Lu Dalin of the Northern Song Dynasty and is China's earliest systematic illustrated catalog of bronze and jade artifacts, completed in the seventh year of the Yuanyou era of Emperor Zhizong of the Northern Song Dynasty (1092). Initially, Lu Dalin revised the Kaogu Tu, collecting 210 bronze artifacts and 13 jade pieces. The revised edition included additional items, totaling 224 artifacts, including 148 Shang and Zhou bronze artifacts, 63 bronze artifacts from the Qin and Han dynasties, and 43 jade artifacts. Each artifact is accompanied by graphical illustrations, textual annotations, descriptions of dimensions, volume, and weight, as well as of their discovery sites and provenance. It is an indispensable reference tool for the study of ancient artifacts, particularly bronze artifacts. The book is printed from a rare Ming Wanli-era edition and is of excellent quality, making it an invaluable choice for appreciation, collection, and research.
