Features: Soft volleyball is a new emerging sport project that combines the characteristics of competitive sports and meets the requirements of mass fitness. In the early 1990s, soft volleyball was introduced to China from Japan and gradually promoted. Since 2000, under the strong advocacy and organization of the Chinese Volleyball Association, active support from educational departments, and the efforts of the business community, soft volleyball has been systematically and organizedly developed in China, especially in universities, secondary and primary schools, and social groups. Various levels of training courses and competition events have been held. To further promote and standardize the development of soft volleyball, based on the specific conditions of China and the characteristics of soft volleyball, the Soft Volleyball Promotion Leading Group organized the revision committee for the "Soft Volleyball Competition Rules," which revised the "Soft Volleyball Competition Rules" published in 1998 to better meet the needs of soft volleyball competitions. This rule has been approved by the National Sports Administration Volleyball Sports Management Center and the Ministry of Education Physical Education, Health and Art Education Department and will be implemented in all levels and types of competitions across the country starting from January 1, 2002.
