Ancient Chinese Atlas (Qing Dynasty)

Features: Collecting, organizing, and compiling ancient literature, though not a creative cultural construction project, has made significant contributions to cultural preservation and dissemination. It can be said that its contribution is no less than, and sometimes even greater than, that of creators. The Book of Han·Geographic Treatise and the Annotations to the Waterways Classic are two highly valuable ancient Chinese geographical works. The fact that China's cultural treasury possesses these two masterpieces is naturally attributed to Ban Gu and Li Daoyuan. However, their contributions primarily lie not in their own writings but in their efforts to gather and compile numerous valuable original geographical works, ensuring that these precious materials were not lost to history but passed down to posterity and remain with us today. Without Ban and Li, many of these highly valuable yet short original works would not have survived.
