Publish Date: 2004-01-01
Features: This book was first published in 2000 and was reprinted twice. In November 2001, it was approved by the Academic Evaluation Group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and selected as a recommended teaching material for postgraduate studies by the Office of Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education. The book is divided into ten chapters, aiming to reflect the latest advancements in the forefront research of quantum mechanics, emphasizing the connection between theory and practice as well as scientific thinking methods. Especially through a series of new experiments and discussions on six paradoxes, the authors elucidate original insights such as the symmetry inherent in quantum mechanics, the essence of special relativity, and the wave function as a virtual probability amplitude for measurement. In the second edition, in addition to further expanding discussions on new topics such as equations of ultra-light-speed neutrinos and antigravity, exercises (with answers or hints) were added at the end of each chapter, while some content from the first edition was removed. The book is distinctive, with fluent writing, clear and profound explanations, rigorous yet vivid, and highly inspiring. It is suitable not only as a textbook for graduate students and university students in physics but also as a reference for researchers engaged in fundamental or applied research on quantum mechanics.
