Features: Compared to previous editions of Public Relations Textbook, the new version of Public Relations Textbook has the following main characteristics: First, it draws on new research findings from both domestic and international sources and combines them with China's actual conditions, avoiding the tendency to blindly copy existing models in the construction of theoretical systems and the elaboration of basic content, thereby reflecting Chinese characteristics to some extent. Second, the entire book is divided into five parts: Public Relations Principles, Public Relations Subjects, Public Relations Objects, Public Relations Media, and Public Relations Practice, forming a more rigorous, complete, and systematic theoretical system. Third, based on the original version (edited by Jiang Chuntang, Public Relations Textbook, originally published by Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping in 1994), it has added content on Public Relations Practice, reflecting the discipline's emphasis on both theory and practice. Fourth, in response to misunderstandings and deviations that have occurred in the development of public relations in China, it emphasizes the basic principles of public relations and adds key points for public relations practice. Fifth, the exposition of fundamental theories is thorough and rigorous, the definitions of basic concepts are concise and accurate, the introduction of foundational knowledge is comprehensive and detailed, and the application of theory is closely tied to China's actual conditions. The new version of Public Relations Textbook is primarily suitable for undergraduate and associate degree students in public relations introductory courses at ordinary universities and colleges.
