Features: Lexicology is an important part of traditional Chinese linguistics, and it studies the lexicological theories and practices of past dynasties. To understand what lexiconography is, one must first understand what lexiconography means. In simple terms, lexiconography means explanation, that is, explaining difficult language in easy terms, explaining ancient language in modern terms, and explaining dialects in standard language. The term "lexiconography" has been around for a long time. Originally, it was two frequently used single-syllable words. Previous scholars explained them separately, believing that "training" and "glossing" had different meanings, but where the difference lies, different schools of thought have varying opinions.
