Features: Gao Lingyin, male, born in November 1935, is a native of Yanggu County, Shanxi Province. He graduated from the History Department of Xiamen University in 1960 and the Research Institute of the Philosophy Department of Renmin University of China in 1964. After graduation, he taught at Xiamen University and is currently a professor at the university. His main research areas include Zhu Xi Studies and the teaching of Chinese philosophy. He has published over 150 articles and authored several books such as Fujian Zhu Xi Studies, A Study of Zhu Xi's Life, An Introduction to Min Learning, Li Tuixi and Eastern Culture, and An Outline of Chinese Culture. Some of his works have been translated into foreign languages and he was awarded the "Fourth Retrification International Academic Award" by South Korea.
