The titles of these ten textbooks are determined by their actual content, and some may not fully align with the names specified in the "Notice."

The compilation of this series of textbooks aims to absorb the strengths of previous relevant textbooks, reflect the latest achievements in the research of Chinese Language and Literature, and highlight the scientificity and practicality of the materials. They can serve as textbooks for universities and colleges offering Chinese Language and Literature programs, as well as reference materials for self-learners.
3. The overall objective of compiling this series is to elaborate the fundamental theories, basic knowledge, and essential skills of the discipline under the guidance of Marxism. The materials are expected to present relatively correct and stable viewpoints, rich and detailed content, and clear and precise descriptions. However, due to the limitations of the compilers, it is inevitable that shortcomings and omissions may exist. We sincerely welcome feedback from peers and readers.
4. The format of this series of textbooks is designed based on practical considerations, and the writing style varies according to the specific content of each discipline.
5. This series of textbooks is compiled and edited by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Normal University, with a compilation committee responsible for coordinating the writing of each volume. The committee is headed by a director and deputy director to handle relevant affairs. Each textbook adopts a chief editor or compiler system to ensure the consistency of academic perspectives and quality across all volumes.
