Features: This book is one of the teaching materials for the Ancient Chinese Literature course at the Central Radio & Television University. It is designed to complement the "Outlines of the History of Chinese Literature" published by Peking University Press in terms of teaching. Due to significant changes in the class hours and teaching syllabus of the Ancient Chinese Literature course compared to the 82nd grade Chinese Language course, this book was revised and annotated based on the "Selected Works of Ancient Chinese Literature" reviewed by Professor Feng Zhongyun of the Classical Literature Teaching and Research Office, Peking University Department of Chinese. The chapters were adjusted, and the entire book is divided into three volumes. This book selects key works for the Ancient Chinese Literature course plan, which are representative works of important writers from each era, while also considering the breadth of themes and diversity of styles. These works are arranged chronologically by the era of the authors; within the same author's works, they are classified in the order of poetry, ci, classics, prose, fiction, and drama. It aligns closely with the teaching schedule. For the convenience of readers, the annotations focus on clarifying the text and are as concise as possible. In some cases, multiple interpretations are listed for reference, and brief introductions to the authors' lives and achievements are provided, generally following commonly accepted views.
