With the deepening reform of national basic education curriculum, the implementation scope of the "Curriculum Standards" for compulsory education is gradually expanding. New educational concepts are being embraced by an increasing number of educators and the public, and China's basic education is undergoing profound changes. The core of this transformation is a shift in role for teachers and a change in learning methods for students. In line with this spirit and to meet the evolving needs of curriculum reform, we have written this book after extensively soliciting opinions from experts, teachers, students, and parents.
This book is revised based on the principle of being derived from yet superior to the new textbooks. It provides a comprehensive explanation, analysis, and guidance on its knowledge points and competency requirements. Each section includes the following sections: "Curriculum Standard Requirements," "Textbook Explanation," "Method Guidance," and "Consolidation Exercises." Among these, "Textbook Explanation" is the highlight of each section. It offers detailed explanations and analyses of each knowledge point in the chapters, emphasizing the expansion and cultivation of knowledge and skills, as well as the revelation and summary of patterns and methods. Through typical conventional problems, innovative open-ended problems, and practical application problems, students explore and experience the knowledge points of the new textbooks, and the design is structured around three key points:
1. Comprehensive Analysis of Typical Examples, with the following four sub-sections:
① Solution Strategy: Provides insights into solving problems and offers strategies.
② Solution: Offers standardized answers based on the solution plan.
③ Error Analysis: Identifies common mistakes, explains their causes, and provides tips to avoid them.
④ Remarks: Summarizes key points in the solution process and analyzes the critical aspects of solving techniques. The purpose of these sub-sections is to open students' minds and focus on summarizing patterns and methods.
2. Attempt to Solve Related Problems (or Variations). Proposes questions related to or similar to the above typical problems from different angles, allowing students to achieve a deeper understanding through imitation during practice.
3. Each typical problem targets a specific knowledge point in the textbook, aiming to provide students with practical experience and understanding of the relevant content through the exploration of examples.
During the writing process, the author strives to explain all textbook content comprehensively, with a wealth of information, achieving precision in explanation, analysis, and selection. The explanations are thorough and insightful, with clear and detailed distinctions, and the analytical methods are novel, distinctive, and unconventional.
The "Very Detailed Explanation" series is meticulous in explanation, thorough in analysis, well-structured, logically organized, rich in content, and highly practical and guiding in mastering key, difficult, and confusing points, as well as all knowledge points. It is another successful work by Longman Center following the "Middle School 1+1" series, truly a sister series. While the former focuses on explaining and analyzing textbooks, the latter emphasizes the explanation and testing of key and challenging issues. They are both a whole and complement each other, working in harmony.
Learning the "Curriculum Standards" and updating educational concepts is an ongoing process. The implementation of curriculum reform also requires continuous exploration and accumulation. The revision of this book is a concrete effort to learn the "Curriculum Standards" and reform teaching content and methods. We hope our efforts will bring practical and effective help to teachers and students in their teaching activities. At the same time, we welcome criticism and guidance from educators and experts.
