Features: Over the past 50 years, the Beijing Institute of Landscape Architecture and Ancient Construction Design has made its due contributions to the urban construction of Beijing. The environmental design of the ten major buildings in the 1950s, the planning and design of newly built parks; urban greening in the 1960s and 1970s; the Asian Games projects in the 1980s; and domestic and international landscape engineering projects such as the greenhouse of the Beijing Botanical Garden, the Tianhua Garden in Japan, and the Deyu Garden in Germany in the 1990s; as well as major urban landscape design projects representing the 21st century, such as the Millennium Monument, airport road, Chang'an Avenue, and the construction of various ring roads, are all crystallizations of the wisdom of the employees of our institute. In the past two decades, more than 50 landscape design projects have won national, Ministry of Construction, and Beijing municipal excellent design and scientific and technological progress awards; and some architecturally richly national characteristics have won the Beijing Architectural Art Creation Project Award and the Top Ten Architectural Design Project Award. This book includes: park planning and design; urban public environmental greening design; specialized green space design; construction design, and other content.
