Features: Many project managers (especially in the software industry) remain unaware of the factors contributing to project success or failure throughout their careers. They remain in a state of excitement or frustration, unable to explain why some projects succeed while others fail. Things don’t have to be this way. There is a method that can ensure all projects succeed, and if you adopt this method, your projects will definitely be successful. We call this method "Structured Project Management." The Ten-Step Method is the cornerstone of Structured Project Management, with the first five steps focusing on project planning and the next five on implementing the plan and achieving goals. This book is now in its third edition, highlighting the importance of outstanding project management practices in the post-network era. The author presents the "Structured Project Management" method from a completely new perspective, with the Ten-Step Method as its cornerstone. Its main content includes: comparing the Ten-Step Method with other methods (such as PRINCE), minimizing project management work while ensuring project success, identifying and monitoring key project indicators, a simple and efficient method for evaluating project plans and recommendations, and a self-study tutorial for MS Project 2000. This book is recommended for project managers. It compares the Ten-Step Method of Structured Project Management with other methods, including PRINCE, revealing how to do as little project management work as possible while still achieving satisfaction. It discusses how to identify and monitor key project indicators, provides a quick and simple method for evaluating project plans and recommendations to address issues before they occur, including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, allowing project managers to seamlessly integrate Structured Project Management into their work. The appendix provides a self-study course for MS Project 2000.
