Features: In new fruit production areas, both fruit farmers and extension technicians have historically had a tendency to prioritize upper-plant management while neglecting lower-plant management. In fruit tree fertilization, there are shortcomings such as emphasizing inorganic fertilizers while ignoring organic fertilizers, excessive nitrogen fertilizer application while neglecting phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, late application of base fertilizer, arbitrary timing of topdressing fertilization, and excessive or insufficient fertilizer application amounts. Due to China's fruit tree development direction of "up mountains and down slopes," which avoids competing with grain crops for arable land, combined with unfavorable factors such as poor site conditions for fruit trees, we must recognize the importance of lower-plant management and fertilization. Practice has proven that high-quality, high-yield, and high-efficiency fruit orchards share a common characteristic: they prioritize upper-plant management but even more so lower-plant management. In recent years, we have promoted precision fertilization technology, balanced fertilization technology, and new composite fertilizers in fruit production areas of Shandong. After adopting these new technologies and achievements, fruit farmers have seen tangible benefits, and many have come to realize that scientific and rational fertilization is the foundation for achieving high-efficiency fruit production. Based on this, this book was written with the aim of guiding fruit farmers in fertilization to achieve high-quality, high-efficiency, low-consumption, and pollution-free fruit production.
