Features: Sharp hearing is one of the essential conditions for our lives, study, and work. How can we make our hearing sharper? One very effective way is to learn music. Learning music involves the issue of an optimal age. Statistics show that most world-famous musicians began learning music in childhood, which is also a key reason why I chose to write "Children's Ear Training for Beginners" instead of "Adults' Ear Training for Beginners." "Children's Ear Training for Beginners" is a companion to "Children's Sight-Singing for Beginners." When used together, they combine listening and singing, creating a complementary and mutually reinforcing effect, yielding unexpected teaching results. This textbook can be used at home, with parents teaching individually, or in kindergartens and primary schools, with teachers conducting group instruction. For group teaching, it is advisable to divide classes by age, with each class having a limited number of students, ideally between 8 to 12, depending on the specific situation. Since children vary in age and natural talent, and teaching paces can differ, this is natural and normal. Therefore, when using this textbook, there is no need to stick to a daily lesson plan. Older children with a better musical foundation can progress faster, while younger children with little musical background should be taught at a slower pace. The principle is: during learning, children should never feel pressure or burden—learning should be relaxed, enjoyable, and filled with fun. Additionally, mastering the teaching pace is the key to successful instruction and should not be taken lightly. The recommended study time is 10 minutes daily. The key is persistence—stick to daily practice.
