Features: The calligraphy of Mr. Guo in both seal script and clerical script is highly creative. Over decades, he has delved into the origins of seal and clerical scripts, meticulously studying and emulating them. His seal script draws inspiration from the gold and bronze inscriptions of the Western Zhou and Eastern Zhou dynasties, the inscriptions on Qin dynasty weight and measure tablets, and various other metal and stone inscriptions. He has also learned from the achievements of Qing dynasty calligraphers in seal script. His seal script is characterized by bold, vigorous strokes, exuding the charm of metal and stone, and has developed a distinct style of its own. Mr. Guo's clerical script is equally captivating. He practiced by copying Han dynasty steles, particularly benefiting from works such as the Zhang Qian Stele, the Cao Quan Stele, the Mount Hua Stele, and the Xixia Inscription. His clerical script embodies the bone structure and artistic spirit of Han dynasty steles while capturing the essence and spirit, forming a unique and distant style.
