Publish Date: 2003-02-01
Features: The book is divided into two main parts: Thermodynamic Theory and Thermodynamic Equipment. The Thermodynamic Theory section includes Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer. The Thermodynamic Equipment section covers boiler equipment, industrial steam power plants, internal combustion engines and gas turbine systems, as well as pressure machines and refrigeration systems. Additionally, the book dedicates a chapter to providing a concise introduction to energy. Each chapter includes examples, review questions, and exercises, with an index, common thermodynamic charts and tables, and answers to exercises appended at the end. The steam property data used in the book is based on the compilation by Chinese scholar Yan Jia, among others. The book adopts the legal metrological units of China. This book was commissioned by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Thermodynamics and reviewed by Professor Yang Qiangsheng of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and subsequently approved by the meeting of the Engineering Thermodynamics Teaching Guidance Group of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Thermodynamics. It can serve as a textbook for non-thermodynamic and non-power mechanical engineering majors (50–60 hours of instruction), and is also reference material for relevant engineering technicians.
