Features: Basic medical science is a discipline group that studies the essence and laws of human life and disease phenomena. The authors of this book are veteran, middle-aged, and young teaching and research backbone teachers and teaching and research management personnel with years of experience on the front line of teaching. During the writing process, they focused on meeting the needs of clinical medicine, comprehensively integrating and reorganizing knowledge from various modern basic medical disciplines, weakening disciplinary boundaries, enhancing the natural transition between disciplines, and ensuring that related knowledge is well-integrated while avoiding repetition. This textbook is divided into five parts: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology, Immunology, Molecular Biology and Modern Medicine, and Basic Experimental Techniques. The Human Anatomy and Physiology section combines the morphological structure and physiological functions of the human body. The Pathology section consists of two parts: Pathological Anatomy and Pathological Physiology. Pathological Anatomy covers Chapters 13 to 16, introducing the general principles of pathological anatomy and highlighting fundamental theories and knowledge. Pathological Physiology covers Chapters 17 to 27, with Chapter 17 introducing an overview of diseases, and Chapters 18 to 27 covering basic pathological processes. Some content that overlaps with other chapters is separately included in relevant sections. The Immunology section focuses on introducing basic concepts and knowledge related to clinical medicine. The integration of molecular biology into various fields of medicine and pharmacy has brought medical science to the molecular level. The Molecular Biology and Modern Medicine section briefly outlines the application prospects of molecular biology in medical theory, clinical practice, and new drug research, as well as the corresponding work procedures and workflows. The Basic Experimental Techniques section introduces general medical experimental procedures and precautions. To facilitate student understanding, additional illustrations and schematic diagrams have been appropriately included. This textbook is suitable for undergraduate students in non-clinical disciplines such as medical-related sciences, engineering, management, and humanities. It can also serve as a reference book for students from other disciplines.
