Features: "The Lecturer Training Textbook" is a large-scale series of metrology professional books comprising 12 volumes and 18 books, with over 12.8 million words in total. The first 10 volumes cover various fields of modern metrology, while the last 2 volumes introduce the fundamentals of lecturer techniques and lecturer management. This series was compiled and reviewed by over 270 experts and relevant technical personnel from the National Defense Science and Technology Industry who have long been engaged in metrology work, making it a crystallization of collective wisdom. During the compilation process, guidance and assistance were provided by dozens of domestic metrology and testing experts. This book is the 7th volume of the metrology training textbook, divided into seven parts. It comprehensively introduces the fundamentals of ionizing radiation metrology, the activity of radioactive nuclei, metrology fundamentals in fields such as ionizing radiation dosimetry and neutrons, the working principles of commonly used standard devices, the calibration methods of various instruments and equipment, as well as key considerations in calibration work. Each section also covers the calculation methods for measurement results and the evaluation methods for measurement uncertainties. In line with the characteristics of the nuclear industry, this book independently dedicates chapters to nuclear chemical metrology, measurements of radon and its progeny, and the calibration of radioactive exploration instruments. At the end of each chapter, thought questions are provided, and references are listed at the end of each part.
