Features: The long and profound history of calligraphy art in our great motherland was created by calligraphy masters such as the Second Wangs, Yan, Liu, Ou, and Zhao. They left behind countless masterpieces of calligraphy for later generations, providing us with vast choices for editing "The Grand Collection of Famous Calligraphers Through the Ages." This series is grand in scale, starting with the [Sage of Calligraphy] Wang Xizhi, spanning the Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties, and passing through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties until the early Republic of China. It has selected over fifty calligraphy masters who left a glorious legacy, compiling their representative works in chronological order for release.
Zhong Shaojing's surviving calligraphy works include the "Yingshen Taizi Stele (Back Side)," "Lingfei Jing" (Sutra of the Spirit-Flying Immortals), "Zhuanlun Wang Jing" (Sutra of the Turning Wheel King), and "Weimo Jing" (Sutra of Weimo). This book selects different versions of his small regular script "Lingfei Jing." This calligraphy [features sharp calligraphy techniques and elegant forms], with natural writing, lively and flexible, [and incorporates the brushwork of running script, making its style graceful and elegant, as well as leisurely and flowing.] It has been a model for learning small regular script for generations since the Tang Dynasty.
