Part 1, "Biography and Chronology of Liu Ding," includes historical information and materials provided by Comrade Yi Hui, as well as documents from the Party Central Committee that completely exonerated Comrade Liu Ding. Written by Comrade Li Tao, this section references chapters "The Battle on the Covert Front" and "Conquering Zhang Xueliang with Sincerity" from Wu Dianyao's "Liu Ding" in Volume 43 of Biographies of Historical Figures in the History of the Communist Party of China and Zhang Kuitang's Biography of Zhang Xueliang. Gratitude is expressed to them.
Part 2, "Collected Works of Liu Ding," selects five representative writings of Comrade Liu Ding. An additional manuscript of a memoir is included.
Part 3, which comprises 20 commemorative essays, includes five essays by former leaders that have already been published. The remaining 15 were commissioned for the compilation of this book.
