Features: Fu Si-nian was a renowned modern Chinese historian, educator, and a widely recognized liberal thinker in academia. He authored extensively throughout his life and made outstanding contributions to the construction of the New Culture Movement, the exploration of new fields in history, and the promotion of new educational ideas. To study modern Chinese culture is to study Fu Si-nian. At the same time, we must also acknowledge that he was a staunch anti-communist scholar, and many of his erroneous and reactionary statements are also unavoidable in research. Therefore, it should be the principle and duty of historians not to judge figures like Fu Si-nian based on political disagreements, to return what belongs to him, and to objectively and fairly assess his position in history.
