Features: This book is divided into two parts. The first part is titled "Recorded Conversations," which includes records of Hu Qiaojium's twenty-nine conversations. One of the conversations, recorded between 1985 and 1986—years before this work began—was included because it shares the same theme. These records have not been reviewed by him personally, but most are compiled from audio recordings with only necessary textual edits. The second part is titled "Drafts," consisting of nineteen manuscripts written according to the titles Hu Qiaojium had planned before his passing, based on the spirit of his conversations. In writing these drafts, extensive literature, archives, and other materials were consulted.
