Publication Date: 2001-04-11
Features: During his life in exile abroad, Lenin, in addition to closely monitoring the development of the revolutionary cause in his own country, also paid close attention to the changes in the international political situation. After the outbreak of the Second World War, he exposed the imperialist nature of this war and explained the division of international socialism it caused. Many documents in this volume address these issues. This volume includes numerous letters and telegrams from Lenin to L. P. Kamenev, G. E., and Zinoviev before the victory of the October Socialist Revolution. Lenin corresponded with them on party affairs, particularly on editing and publishing party newspapers, participating in the activities of the Socialist International, and other issues. They were his able assistants in carrying out revolutionary activities abroad at that time. It should be noted that, due to political reasons, some important revolutionary activities of Zinoviev and Kamenev were long omitted from mention in the Soviet Union. The letters from Lenin to them in this volume help reveal the true nature of history.
