Features: According to traditional definitions, labor law is a comprehensive set of legal norms that regulate labor relations and other closely related social relationships. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, labor law has been a discipline in China's legal education for over half a century. However, the issues addressed by labor law are not only legal issues but also intersect with many economic and social issues. As seen in the research content of labor law, it encompasses both legal theory and theories from economics and sociology. At the same time, as a crucial legal environment for human resource management, labor law also intersects significantly with the field of human resource management. Therefore, labor law is one of the compulsory textbooks for multiple disciplines in China's current higher education. These disciplines include law, labor and social security, human resource management, social work, and others.
Given the general needs of labor law teaching and research in Chinese universities, we have designed seven chapters for this book, primarily introducing the basic theories of labor law, the conditions and historical context of its emergence, labor relations adjustment laws, occupational promotion laws, labor dispute resolution laws, labor supervision, and legal liability. These seven chapters comprehensively cover the fundamental content of labor law teaching while reflecting the main issues explored in recent years in the field of labor law research. At the same time, they also take into account the cutting-edge research trends in international labor law.
The scope of application of this book is not only for teaching in universities in the fields of labor law, labor economics and social security, and human resource management but also serves as a reference book for related research fields and practical work.
