Features: This book consists of ten chapters. The first five chapters discuss the formation and development of Huizhou School of Learning. Chapters six, seven, and eight explore the academic achievements of the Huizhou School, listing 46 representative works in the fields of Confucian classics, astronomical calculations and music theory, philology, and philosophy, along with brief evaluations. Chapter nine analyzes the similarities and differences between the Huizhou School and the Wu School. Chapter ten elaborates on the academic accomplishments of the "Huizhou School of Learning."
The book raises several questions: How should the definitions of "Learning of Simplicity" and "Huizhou School of Learning" be determined? What criteria should be used to classify the main factions of the Huizhou School? What are the important works of the Huizhou School? What are the key points of the research methodology summarized so far? The Huizhou School and the Wu School both belong to the Qianjia School of Learning. What are their commonalities? What are their differences? Should the activity period of the Huizhou School be set at 100 years or extended to 159 years, ending with the late years of the Xuantong era? These questions remain largely unaddressed in existing literature. The discussions presented in this book are extremely superficial, merely offering some material for further discussion.
