This article examines Huizhou seal carving within the long history of the development of literati seal carving art and points out that it is the earliest school of seal carving. It conducts research and investigation on the birth and death dates, origins, deeds, artistic achievements of some Huizhou seal carvers, as well as the reasons for the formation of Huizhou seal carving. The article argues that Huizhou textual research and Huizhou merchants had a significant impact on the formation and development of Huizhou seal carving. The contributions of Huizhou to the splendid culture of the Chinese nation are irreplaceable and well-documented in literature and tangible artifacts. Therefore, when people look back at the glorious traditions of the Chinese nation in the past, they cannot help but turn their attention to Huizhou. This is also the driving force behind the recent surge in the study of Huizhou. Today, exploring and revealing the depth of Huizhou's historical and cultural heritage, upholding fine traditions, and enabling our Chinese compatriots to achieve new brilliance once again have become a serious and fascinating historical mission.
