Patient's question:
How to effectively treat ovarian cysts. How to effectively treat ovarian cysts.Doctor's answer:
Ovarian cysts can be physiological (meaning they are normal fluctuations in the menstrual cycle and can naturally disappear) or pathological (formed due to disease). Physiological cysts do not require surgery, while pathological cysts often need surgery for definitive diagnosis and additional treatment. For women of childbearing age, after discovering an ovarian cyst, the next course of action depends on the nature of the cyst. Ultrasound results are very helpful for diagnosis. If MRI indicates that the cyst is anechoic (without echoes) and non-segmented, it may be advisable to wait and see for 3 months. If the cyst still exists after 3 months, surgery should be considered. For all other types of cysts, in most cases, they are pathological and surgery is necessary for definitive diagnosis.
