[Preface] Today, China has become the world's largest developing country, with sustained economic growth and immense market potential attracting global attention. The Chinese printing industry has also entered a new phase of rapid development. In 2003, the total output value of the national printing industry reached 280 billion RMB, and it is expected to continue growing in the next 5–10 years. These figures demonstrate the vast market potential and broad development prospects of China's printing industry. Participating in international competition, expanding market share, building renowned brands, and seeking development opportunities have become critical challenges for every enterprise.
The China Printing and Equipment and Materials Industry Association shoulders the responsibility of serving its members and enterprises, as well as promoting the development of the printing and equipment and materials industry. We have always considered the use of modern information tools to provide comprehensive information services for printing industry enterprises and users as one of our key tasks. Since 2002, a three-dimensional media framework based on the China Printing Network (www.eprint.cn) has been established, gaining recognition across the industry. Building on this foundation, we have fully leveraged the industry background and database resources of the association to publish specialized information publications such as the Chinese and English versions of the "China Printing Equipment and Materials Product Directory," the English edition of "Shining a Spotlight on China—The Developing Chinese Printing Industry," and others.
Today, we proudly present to you the "China Printing Enterprises and Institutions Directory," a meticulously compiled book that took a year to complete. We know that the market is flooded with publications labeled as "directories," but truly informative and practical reference books remain scarce. Due to the need for market expansion, many enterprises have suggested that the association compile a directory with greater comprehensiveness, authority, and practicality. In the second half of 2003, we initiated this project, verifying and selecting information from the basic data of over 40,000 enterprises to compile this directory, which includes nearly 15,000 printing enterprises. The information in this directory can also be accessed on the China Printing Network (www.eprint.cn) and used for direct online communication with the enterprises.
The executive editor of this book is Cao Jun, and it was co-authored by Cao Jun, Wang Zhanjun, Zhang Guangyan, and Wang Tongda. The "China Printing Enterprises and Institutions Directory" holds high practical value. However, due to time and experience constraints, there are still many shortcomings and omissions in this book, particularly in updating changes to telephone area codes and enterprise addresses that have occurred recently. This has led to some inaccurate information, for which we sincerely apologize. We sincerely welcome your valuable feedback and are committed to continuously improving and refining our work to ensure that future editions are more comprehensive, complete, accurate, timely, and practical.
