Features: When you finish reading this book, you will notice that there have been many periods in human history when science truly flourished, while other periods, such as the Middle Ages, were greatly hindered by mythology, religion, and superstition. Poor old scientists spent most of their time warding off misfortune instead of working and moving forward with confidence. Sorry, if you're looking for the history of mathematics in these pages, you'll be disappointed. But to be honest, I couldn't find a single interesting thing about mathematics, so I had to leave it out. Most of the things I've chosen, whether important or not, will probably be criticized. The only thing I can say is that my selections are based on things closely related to our lives in the late 20th century—just like that! This book is mainly intended to entertain. If you happen to learn something while laughing out loud, don't blame me.
