Features: The construction of a resource-saving community must focus on sustainable development. It requires not only the promotion and advocacy of this concept by the government and professional designers but also voluntary participation and cooperation from residents. Without either of these elements, success is impossible. At the same time, citizens can provide necessary support. In the early stages of resource-saving community construction, the establishment of planning mechanisms plays a crucial role. In addition to reforms in early operational mechanisms, including promoting coordination and cooperation among government departments, integrating public organization resources, and revising regulations, the role of citizen organizations and the mobilization of ordinary people are also very important. As long as these mechanisms are integrated, sufficient momentum can be generated to drive the realization of resource-saving communities.
It is foreseeable that the future human living environment will be a complex ecosystem, utilizing human new technological achievements to improve itself. Future human communities will operate under trends of urbanization, digitization, intelligence, and ecologicalization. Future human society will have future skyscrapers, future new towns, future new suburbs, future virtual cities, and future space cities. But fundamentally, future human communities must be designed in harmony with nature to highlight the characteristics of resource-saving communities—healthy, comfortable, efficient, and harmonious. Only in this way can they truly suit the survival and development of future humans.
