Features: The content structure of this series of books consists of three parts. The first part is theoretical discussion, including the theoretical explanation and elaboration of the concepts, connotations, characteristics, theoretical foundations (circular economy theory and sustainable development theory) of a resource-saving society, resource-saving cities, resource-saving agencies, resource-saving communities, and resource-saving enterprises; the conditions for construction (ideological conditions, resource-saving potential and past experience, policy conditions, and construction models); core areas, and international experiences. The second part focuses on discussing the construction plans, design proposals, and the establishment of evaluation indicator systems for resource-saving societies, cities, agencies, communities, and enterprises, addressing theoretical and practical issues. It provides knowledge and operational solutions for planning, designing, and evaluating the construction of resource-saving societies. The third part primarily discusses theoretical and practical issues related to the construction of resource-saving cities, agencies, and communities. From the content of this book, there should be several distinctive features: First, theoretical nature. The author discusses theoretically what constitutes a resource-saving society, the connotations of such a society, and its outstanding characteristics. In reality, this provides certain insights for designers and builders of resource-saving societies. Second, practicality. After clarifying theoretical misconceptions and misunderstandings, it should provide planning suggestions, construction proposals, and effective evaluation methods for resource-saving society construction. The author also offers some reference opinions and insights at the operational level of resource-saving society construction. Third, frontier or warning nature. Building a resource-saving society must focus on fostering a resource-saving culture, forming resource-saving lifestyles, and establishing a resource-saving civilization that supports sustainable social development. However, current efforts in resource-saving society construction pay insufficient attention to this aspect. In the construction of a resource-saving society, if the focus is solely on saving resources without building a resource-saving society, it will inevitably lead the construction astray.
