Carefree vigilance

Features: The articles in this book have reached what the author aspired to. Whether the articles are good or not, it is for the readers to judge. What truly matters is thinking—independent thinking, rational thinking, using your own brain cells. Some of the articles in this book were originally published in Wen Hui Reading Weekly, which was once edited by Brother Chu. These ideas were merely thoughts in my mind, but they were finally put on paper and published, thanks to his persistent urging. The whims in this book are only a part of my thoughts reflected on paper. There are still some whims that have not been written down. It's not others' fault; it's mainly my own laziness and carelessness. Generally, I prefer to be whimsically lazy or idly waiting. In this state, there are other nice words to describe it, called "casual." "Casual people" are truly more elegant and ethereal, but such nice words are better left for those who need or deserve them. I will settle for a word that lies between "lazy and carefree" and "casual"—"undisciplined."
