Features: This book is a fundamental textbook in applied mathematics and one of the research outcomes of the hierarchical teaching research group in vocational and technical colleges. It primarily includes topics such as differential calculus of single-variable functions, differential calculus of multi-variable functions, an introduction to ordinary differential equations, an introduction to linear algebra, series, Laplace transforms, and mathematical experiments. Guided by the principle of "closely aligning with students, practicality, and professionalism," the book truly embodies the philosophy of "aiming at application with a focus on necessity and sufficiency." In terms of structure, it highlights the progressive and step-by-step nature of mathematics courses, moving from simple to complex. In content, theoretical proofs have been omitted, emphasizing application and computation. All calculations discussed in the book are briefly demonstrated in the mathematical experiments section. The content selection of the textbook balances both science and engineering majors as well as economics and management majors. The material is divided into two levels: B and A (elective). The B-level content is the compulsory foundational material for all students, while the A-level content, marked with an asterisk, is optional for advanced students. The basic exercises and test questions at the end of each chapter are B-level content, suitable for all students, while the advanced exercises are intended for students with extra time and ability. Appendix II at the end of the book covers knowledge points previously learned in high school that are closely related to this book, for reference. This textbook can be used as a general teaching material for higher vocational colleges, higher technical colleges, and various adult secondary colleges. It is also suitable for comprehensive majors in independent colleges and private universities under undergraduate institutions, as well as for reference by scientific workers and those engaged in mathematical experiments.
