Features: Organized by the Teaching Materials Office of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, this 1996 revised edition of the mechanical professional teaching materials has played an important role in meeting the teaching needs of secondary vocational and technical schools and related vocational training, receiving praise from teachers and students. However, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the rapid development of the socialist market economy, society and enterprises have put forward updated and higher requirements for the knowledge and skill structure of skilled talents, and the concepts and models of vocational education have also been continuously reformed and innovated. To adapt to the needs of cultivating skilled talents in the 21st century and to meet the teaching needs of mechanical professional secondary vocational and technical schools nationwide, we have organized relevant experts to comprehensively revise the 1996 revised edition of the mechanical professional teaching materials. The revised materials include: "Machine Tool Technology (4th Edition)," "Machine Tool Skill Training (4th Edition)," "Fitter Technology (4th Edition)," "Fitter Skill Training (4th Edition)," "Machine Repair Fitter Technology (2nd Edition)," "Machine Repair Fitter Skill Training (2nd Edition)," "Milling Technology (3rd Edition)," "Milling Skill Training (3rd Edition)," "Welding Technology (3rd Edition)," "Welding Skill Training (3rd Edition)," "Electric Welding Technology (2nd Edition)," "Electric Welding Skill Training (2nd Edition)," "Cold Forming Technology (3rd Edition)," and "Cold Forming Skill Training (3rd Edition)."
During the writing process of this set of teaching materials, we have consistently adhered to the following principles: guided by student employment and based on enterprise employment standards. In terms of professional knowledge arrangement, we closely align with the characteristics of the training objectives, adhering to the principles of sufficiency and practicality, discarding theoretical knowledge that is "complex, difficult, biased, and outdated," while further strengthening the intensity of skill training, especially focusing on basic and core skills. Considering the conditions of various regions in terms of schooling, we strive to reflect the current status and trends of the mechanical industry, introducing as many new technologies, processes, methods, and materials as possible to make the teaching materials more contemporary. At the same time, we adopt the new national technical standards to make the teaching materials more scientific and standardized. Following the cognitive patterns of students in secondary vocational and technical schools, we strive to make the teaching content enjoyable and accessible for students. In terms of structural arrangement and expression, we emphasize a gradual progression from simple to complex, step-by-step learning, highlighting teacher-student interaction and student self-directed learning, and through numerous production case studies and visually rich presentations, enabling students to learn more easily. For convenience in teaching, the technology textbooks are accompanied by exercise books and answers, as well as teaching reference books, some of which also include multimedia teaching materials for mechanical education (CDs).
The writing of this set of teaching materials has been supported and assisted by the Labor and Social Security Departments of Beijing, Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Hunan, Fujian, and Sichuan provinces, as well as relevant schools. We express our heartfelt gratitude for this support.
The main contents of "Cold Forming Technology (3rd Edition)" include: correction, layout and marking, basic knowledge of layout and development, layout and development, cutting, pre-processing of parts, bending and stamping, assembly and connection, etc. "Cold Forming Technology (3rd Edition)" is edited by Meng Guangbin, with contributions from Zheng Wenjie, Meng Qingfeng, and Fan Guangyun, and reviewed by Kong Fanming.
