Features: On March 14, 2004, the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China passed the "Amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China," making the fourth amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, which was adopted by the Fifth Session of the Fifth National People's Congress on December 4, 1982. In his explanation on the "Amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China" at the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress, Vice Chairman Wang Zhaoguo pointed out: To safeguard the authority and dignity of the Constitution, ensure the uniformity of the constitutional text, and facilitate the study and implementation of the Constitution, it is proposed that after the session adopts the constitutional amendment, the General Secretariat of the National People's Congress should make corresponding amendments to the relevant content of the Constitution based on the constitutional amendment, and simultaneously publish the original text of the 1982 Constitution, the four constitutional amendments, and the revised text based on the constitutional amendments. In accordance with this, the original 1982 Constitution, four constitutional amendments, and the revised constitutional text based on the four constitutional amendments are hereby simultaneously published.
