Features: Ecological Services: Value Realization constructs a competitive market, rational ecological capitalization with property rights definition, internalization of externalities, comprehensive government procurement system, and social mobilization to incorporate the value of various ecological services into the market system, demonstrating a development that truly includes ecological costs. The book will later use these methods to explore specific case studies. Many environmental and ecological factors serve complex functions as natural goods and providers of ecological services. These functions may conflict in human utilization, resulting in relative scarcity; they may also increase in scarcity due to congestion, leading to absolute scarcity. For various reasons, markets are relatively effective in addressing the scarcity of natural goods but often fail in ecological service issues, which is the fundamental starting point for exploring the value realization of ecological services. The book first systematically reviews the nature, types, and significance of ecological services from the perspective of natural sciences, and then reclassifies ecological services based on value realization, exploring the paths for realizing the value of different ecological service elements. In the end, it analyzes two major issues currently existing in China's ecological services: the construction of ecological service systems in large cities and the relationship between ecological services across regions. This book can serve as a reference for researchers and managers in the field of environmental ecology.
