Features: This book is the result of the "Nineth Five-Year Plan" key research project on "Research on Planning Standards for Small Towns" in China. The project was initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology and managed by the Ministry of Construction. It was carried out by the China Urban Planning and Design Research Institute, the China Architecture and Design Research Institute (formerly the China Building Technology and Research Institute), and Shenyang Jianzhu University. The results consist of 1 comprehensive study and 9 thematic studies (including 2 foundational studies, 12 planning standard studies, and 13 thematic research reports). The findings cover most of the standard research and hot issues in small-town planning that are urgently needed.
