How to know if it is an ectopic pregnancy

Patient's question:

I have a small piece of white stuff coming out on my period. Recently, I've been urinating and I don't know if it could be possible that I have an ectopic pregnancy. How can I know if it is an ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

The most common symptoms of ectopic pregnancy in the early stage are:
1. Abdominal pain, sometimes severe pain accompanied by profuse sweating. When rupture occurs again, the patient suddenly feels sharp pain in one side of the lower abdomen, often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
2. Postmenopausal tubal pregnancy rupture or abortion, except for short-term menopause, symptoms and signs of early pregnancy are usually unclear, and lower abdominal distension and pain may recur. On examination, the fallopian tube appears normal or reduced.
3. Vaginal bleeding is usually very minimal, with slight spotting.
