Features: Phrases like "self-diagnosis" and "self-treatment" are no longer new to readers and have garnered significant attention. Particularly in the context of healthcare system reform, readers are more focused on health issues. Prevention is better than cure when healthy, and if illness occurs, having relevant knowledge allows for early "self-diagnosis" or "self-treatment" or timely medical consultation. For this reason, we decided to compile this book. It can serve as a small family doctor for readers, promptly addressing their concerns and difficulties, and also provide necessary guidance and references for seeking medical treatment. The book is divided into two parts:
The first part uses concise tables to help you quickly assess your condition based on your symptoms. The second part is "Self-Treatment," which has two key features.
The first feature is that it primarily introduces over-the-counter medications (drugs freely available at pharmacies), traditional Chinese medicine, and other treatment methods suitable for the country. In addition to conventional therapies, it also covers home remedies and preventive measures, aiming to enhance practicality and operability beyond general medical knowledge, enabling readers to follow clear guidelines and refer to practical cases.
The second feature is that it abandons the traditional narrative style of previous books, adopting bullet points and key takeaways to present important and critical content. This makes the book concise and easy to read, allowing readers to quickly find answers to their concerns in the shortest time possible.
