Features: This is a bloody history of resistance in the countryside, where ordinary people measure the distance between hatred and humanity with their simple conscience and flesh and blood. It depicts a series of cruel yet realistic stories of the Anti-Japanese War. The work subverts the grand narrative of war novels and adopts a folk storytelling approach, set against the backdrop of the Anti-Japanese War six decades ago. Through the fates of the Jia brothers, it showcases the lives of ordinary people in that special era. The novel carries an inevitable, cold humor, where every character's experience evokes both sorrow and joy, making the entire epic deeply moving and thought-provoking.
