Features: To meet the teaching needs of legal vocational education, we compiled the book "Criminal Case Studies." During the compilation process, we aimed to give the book the following characteristics: , Highlighting the features of legal vocational education. The training objective of legal vocational education is to provide society with various applied and operational talents, therefore, this book focuses on cultivating students' practical application and operational abilities. Second, Highlighting the case study method. "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." Discussing cases based on cases is not the ultimate goal of being a teacher. Our fundamental purpose is to enable students to master the analysis methods of criminal cases and improve their operational abilities through one or a certain type of case. Therefore, this book demonstrates research methods in each chapter and case type. Third, Emphasizing the typicality, applicability, and novelty of cases. The selection of model cases and practice cases strives to be typical and applicable. Most of the model cases in this book are typical and applicable cases that have occurred in judicial practice in recent years, and they are cases that have not been studied in the currently published, diverse criminal case books, ensuring the novelty of the cases. At the same time, they are analyzed using new theories, new legal provisions, legislative interpretations, and judicial interpretations, achieving the novelty and uniqueness of the content. Fourth, Highlighting the integration of criminal theory and cases. This book is neither simply annotating criminal legal provisions nor simply analyzing and commenting on actual cases. Instead, it starts from actual cases, raises questions, and uses relevant legal provisions and legal principles to solve problems, aiming to achieve the integration of theory and practice. Students can understand criminal law through the analysis of actual cases and learn about practical issues through legal principle discussions, applying what they have learned. Fifth, Highlighting comprehensiveness. Criminal cases have clear stages from filing to execution, with each stage being interconnected and involving both substantive and procedural issues. To help students understand the full picture of criminal cases and master the operational process of criminal cases, this book specially includes a section on comprehensive criminal case studies. The purpose is to teach students how to collect, review, and use evidence for case determination, how the prosecution should accuse, how the defense should defend, and how the court should judge, laying a solid foundation for future legal careers. It can be said that the first two parts of this book—Criminal Law Case Studies and Criminal Procedure Law Case Studies—are scattered, focusing on the study of certain or several legal principles (rules), while the third part, Comprehensive Criminal Case Studies, is centralized, emphasizing comprehensive and integrated research. This book is divided into three parts: Part I: Criminal Law Case Studies; Part II: Criminal Procedure Law Case Studies; Part III: Comprehensive Criminal Case Studies. Part I studies the main case types in criminal law; Part II studies the main case types in criminal procedure law; Part III studies the substantive and procedural issues of criminal cases, with each part and chapter containing case study methods, model cases, and practice cases.
