Features: This dictionary is designed for primary school teachers and students for teaching and learning purposes. It focuses on helping readers find appropriate reduplicated adjectives needed in verbal expression and understand the meanings and usage of reduplicated adjectives they encounter. The dictionary includes 546 common ABB-type reduplicated adjectives and 44 AABB-type reduplicated adjectives, with some reduplicated adjectives treated as variant entries. Entries are arranged in the order of Chinese pinyin letters, with pinyin annotations provided for each entry. For AABB-type reduplicated adjectives, the light tone is not marked with a tone mark. When annotating the pronunciation of ABB-type reduplicated adjectives, the original tone is first marked, followed by the neutral tone, for reference. The definitions of the listed entries are exact, concise, and accessible. The dictionary provides the best synonyms and antonyms, marked with "Synonym" and "Antonym" respectively. When multiple synonyms or antonyms are listed, they are separated by a space.
7. If a reduplicated adjective has several variants, the dictionary treats the most common or earlier-appearing variant as the main entry, while other variants are treated as subordinate entries, listed after the main entry with "also known as" or "also called" and marked "same as" the main entry in the subordinate entry.
The dictionary generally reveals the usage scope of each reduplicated adjective and its collocations with other words or phrases in five levels: ① subject and predicate, ② attributive and headword, ③ adverbial and headword, ④ verb and object, ⑤ headword and complement, marked with "Collocation." The dictionary provides usage examples for each reduplicated adjective and its collocations, demonstrating how the adjective is used in a sentence and the part of speech it serves, marked with "Usage."
Difficult characters in the main text of the dictionary are annotated with pinyin in parentheses.
